Friday night protesters expressed their emotions with the MTA and NYPD about the recent incident with citizens jumping over turnstiles to avoid the subway fare.
Hundreds of protesters took over the subway stations of Downtown Brooklyn Friday night to show NYPD and the MTA their anger and displeasure in response to the recent incident that happened with people jumping over the entrance to the subways avoiding the subway fee causing them to be incarcerated. Over 1,000 people attended this protest which got loud and physical. Protesters were seen down by Barclays center back up north causing traffic and street shut downs along the way. While marching in this rally protesters shouted anti NYPD chants and anti MTA chants. With the rally showing more aggression and anger there were acts of vandalism with several walls and police cars spray painted and windows shattered.
